I was doing dishes and looked over to see my 1 year old had ripped up the keys to my laptop. UGH! I did manage to most of them back on.

        Yes, those little fingers are like pliers – just think of how strong they are when they pinch you in the cheek… ugh

    My son did that to my husbands when he was that age. The space bar has never worked great since. Needless to say he never left his laptop open in the room with our son alone again…

    I got to be an EXPERT on replacing keyboards on my old Dell Laptop!  $10 bucks and 10 minutes!   You might be able to replace  it yourself.  Google your laptop model and “replace keyboard tutorial”  if you can find instructions then check out Ebay for a keyboard!

      Yep! The first two times my toddler did this I rigged the keys back on. The third time was so bad (and it was my company laptop) I went to a computer forum and asked what to do. It’s a 15 dollar fix for a new keyboard.

    My 18 month old did the same thing when I had to run out of the room because his brother was throwing up. Imagine my surprise when I return from cleaning up that mess to find my keyboard destroyed. NOT a good night.

    Note to parents with laptops and little monsters (yes, i have a lil miss destructo lol).. i would recommend that you put the laptop up where the kid can’t reach it and/or close the thing.. laptops are made with close-top screens.. and i highly recommend using that great feature ;)

    My nephew managed to do the same thing as well, luckily there were only three! I misplaced the “O” so, I’m going to have to some how get a replacement “O” at some point!
