My children thought it would be funny to get into my pink flat paint and bathe the kitten with it. After several baths my once white kitten is now cotton candy pink.

This is the best one I’ve seen in a while! In all seriousness, though, did you call the vet to make sure the cat will be okay?

Kind of reminds me of the time I dyed my sister’s hair green with food coloring.  She had a large green spot on the top of her head that just wouldn’t go away.

Seriously?  Where the hell were you when the kids painted it?  It’s a wonder the cat was okay!

Next time put the paint out of reach…  >:(

What kind of parent are you? This is not funny at all.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003022447520 Cleo Miller

Wow, and people are OK with this?  Your dumb ass obviously thought it was funny as well, or you would have stopped your kids from painting your cat.  What if the cat had ingested some of the paint?  And the worst part:  you allowed your kids to continue to give the cat “several baths”.  You’re damn lucky your kids didn’t kill that poor cat.

    • Anonymous

I’m pretty sure the “after several baths” part referred to the mom washing the cat in an attempt to get the paint off the cat. And obviously you have no children, otherwise you would sympathize and understand that kids get into shit faster than you can blink. Why come to a website that is obviously about kids if you are such an asshole about it.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003022447520 Cleo Miller

Sorry for misunderstanding the “several baths” thing, but still…  They could have KILLED A LIVING CREATURE!  That’s why I came on here.  That’s why I had to say something.  Because that poor cat can’t defend itself.  The mom didn’t seem too upset that the cat was being painted…it seems like it was more of a “Hurr hurr, don’t kids do the darndest things?!” moment.  This isn’t some kid spilling crap on the floor or destroying a sofa!  This is another living creature we’re talking about, and I would not have come on here making a stink if it wasn’t dealing with a living being.

        • Anonymous

Have you owned or even visited a cat? A cat can very well defend itself. Claws, teeth, if it feels threatened it will make its discomfort known. Obviously the cat didn’t feel it was in harms way, otherwise the post would end with, the cat tore my children’s asses up. My cats certainly would.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003022447520 Cleo Miller

I own 3 cats.  I know very well a cat can claw or bite.  That still doesn’t justify those kids throwing toxic crap on their poor little cat.  God, I feel like I’m talking to a brick wall, but then again, that’s what it’s like talking to breeders.  So I am done with you.  But I just leave in saying I think it’s absolutely despicable this woman allowed her kids to paint the cat, and that people here are like “Hurrr durrr, ain’t that cuuute?!”  If that cat died, it certainly wouldn’t be funny, now would it?  And you know very well that could have happened if it had continued.

            • Anonymous

Geez you people really need to lighten up hey. The cat looks fine to me. Certainly not on deaths door as is suggested. How many living creatures have you killed in your life??? More than you can count I bet. Do you cry like this every time a bug hits your windscreen?

            • shortymicwardy23

If this was toxic and so horrible for the cat than why is the cat still alive

              • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003022447520 Cleo Miller

Not the point, breeder.  They’re fortunate the cat wasn’t injured or killed, but had this behaviour gone on, that cat would have been at least injured.  And please, a bug dying by its own stupidity is not in the same class as a bunch of brats painting a cat and possibly injuring the creature.  If an ADULT painted their cat, then people would share my disgust.  However, when a child does it, it’s perfectly ok, apparently.  God breeders are complete hypocrites.

it must be hard being right all of the time. although i guess your parents appreciated the fact that you never ever did anything wrong or dangerous or stupid. you should give lectures!

                  Cleo,

Well thank god you don’t breed.  The world doesn’t need more of you around.
PS I think you’re on the wrong site btw.

I know cats, this one was enjoying the attention. IF NOT, HE/SHE HAS MEAN CLAWS AND WOULD HAVE USED THEM TO YOUR SERIOUS CONSEQUENCE, YOUR ARMS WOULD END UP WITH NASTY SCARS.

Oh, here we go, the “obviously you have no children” counterargument.  It’s the one thing people enjoy falling back on when they have nothing to account for their crappy parenting.  You forget we were all kids once.  But back then our parents kept a better eye on us, kept us in line, didn’t grab the camera every time we DID eff up but instead DISCIPLINED us (something YOU parents lack these days) and didn’t blab around the neighborhood let alone the world about our behavior (good or bad), and look back and laugh at the expense of the family pet.

I stumbled on this website because I like laughing at damage done to inanimate objects.  It’s another story when the damage is done to living creatures.

I do discipline my children. I can’t stand people that sit idly by while their child is blatantly misbehaving. However, I am not going to be up my kids asses 24 hours, 7 days a week. It wouldn’t be good for any of us. There would go showers and dinners and well just about anything.
As for pictures when we fuck up? Theres a series of pictures of me when I was 2 or 3. My mom fell asleep on the couch, thinking I was napping with her. I woke up, got a hold of the baby powder and dumped it everywhere. Our black dog was gray, our brown carpet tan, I was head to toe covered in baby powder. My dad came home to see that. He took the pictures.
I was a good kid, never got in trouble, got good grades, graduated. I never really argued with my parents. So, something that happened when I was two apparently has no bearing on how a person ends up.
Oh, and laughing at a pets expense? Teddy was the butt of jokes for months to come. He was fine however. And this cat will be fine also. Its just pink.

It doesn’t matter what color it was.  It could’ve easily been toxic.

Everyone should really just calm down.  How many times have we all done something that was not funny at the time, but after the damage is done and everyone is fine, you laugh about it?  Everyone has had those moments, and this is no different.  We can’t give parenting advice over something that may have just been an accident.  I have realized that in 2011 we have eliminated the word accident and turned it into lawsuit.  Everyone wants to sue and lay blame for everthing that could have easily just been an ACCIDENT.  I have cut my hair at 3 years old, but up some books of my mothers at 5, turn the power off to the apartment building at like 9 and probably other things in my life as a kid.  I had a cousin at 2 cover himself in grease, another to pull all kinds of dirt from under the house and expose pipes, and yet I had another hit a hornets nest that we found.  You can’t watch your children 24/7.  Sheltered children dont always grow up to be the best all the time.  Growing up we learned by experience, now you have to be told and grow up later to experience, but when you are grown the consquences are much worse.  So everyone who has a problem with these post about REAL LIFE that happens to normal familes, should really look into enjoying the life they have.  Enjoy the laugh and pray they are doing the best they can do.  We can’t control everyone and their lives.  I know of many homeless and sick people AND animals that could use your attention more than a video of a pink cat.  Enjoy your day and the rest of the laughs on this blog.

I 100% agree with this statement. I can’t believe how much people freaked out about this. I’m sure the mum checked to make sure the kitten was ok, and would probably keep TOXIC paint out of reach from their kids, for everyone’s safty. I’m pretty sure the kitten will be just fine, physically and emotionally.

I think it’s fairly obvious that the cat is fine, so I have to say this:  1.) Most cats are dicks anyway – I as an adult love my pets, but they don’t seem to mind having me trip down the stairs from them being underfoot, nor would they hesitate to eat my face if I died in my home. 2.) Kids do stupid shit… BECAUSE THEY’RE KIDS!!! No parent can be on top of their children 24/7  – not without smothering them, resulting in sheltered adults with a fear of making mistakes in the eyes of their overprotective mother/father. Wisdom comes with age – you’re not born with it. 3.) Obviously this parent was concerned for the safety of this kitty, hence; the paint is faded, and the cat is dry. Furthermore, the picture was taken AFTER the incident – read between the lines and you’ll see a concerned parent that can laugh in retrospect. 4.) Get off your moral high horses. I’m pretty sure if this animal wasn’t so damn cute you’d be singing another tune altogether. 5.) If you find it necessary to criticize someone’s parenting, become a social worker. The purpose of this site is solely for entertainment purposes. If you have nothing better to do than air your sanctimonious bullshit in a public forum, I suggest you join a group do it in real life so I can at least hurl rocks at you. Get a sense of humor, or get a life. Either is good…
