We’re not getting the deposit back, are we?

Claire Hands

I was feeding the baby, but the 3-year-old was feeding her need for artistic expression. It’s washable ink, but the wallpaper sucked it up and won’t release it. I’m afraid to tell the landlord and am contemplating telling her we just really want to redo that room ourselves and can we please paint it for them?

Oh my! If you can paint it, you’ll want to prime it with Kiln stain sealer first-otherwise it will seep through the paint too. Just sayin’ 🙂

wow.. quite the little artist! If they let you paint the room, be sure to take that wallpaper down or you’ll have an awful mess! It’s less about the paint coming through and more about doing a good job – ya really don’t want to paint over wallpaper, it doesn’t usually go very well..
Good luck with that mess – I feel for ya!

Have you tried using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on it?!

Did you try Off bug spray? Works wonders. An old Army trick.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Give it a try. It cost like $2 at Walmart.

Use rubbing alcohol and a roll of kitchen towel – blot – don’t rub – with damp towel, using clean section of towel every time.  Should get most of it out.

    Two words: Goof Off

It’s removed Sharpie and nail polish in our house.  Good luck!

cheap Dollar General brand wrinkle releaser. Sounds weird, but it really works.

I think if a landlord rents to people with small children, they should expect their property to be trashed. Just MHO.

This is the same reason why we are “upgrading” the landlord’s flooring from  half carpet/half vinyl to full vinyl.

I hate to be the first one to say it, but I think she kind of, did you a favor… That wallpaper needed to be changed! Sorry 🙁
