A Shower Door

To date, no confessions. This occurred on Thanksgiving day. I am thankful that neither perpetrator was injured, however, I mourn the passing of my shower door.

My shower door shattered on it’s own one day. Not a kid to be seen near it.

This is. swear to god, a true story. This exact thing happened in my house when I was a kid–I was just passing by the bathroom and the door shattered. I can attest that no one was in the bathroom. I think a large truck had just gone by the house and the vibration just hit the door the wrong way.

My goodness! How did you manage to clean all that up?

Mine did that one day too. My dad was the only one home and was on the couch asleep…. BAM door shatters. Those shower doors are made like car glass so no one can get hurt if they shatter. Also if they get a crack in them from pressure or getting slammed one too many times eventually it’ll do this. Might not have been the wee ones.

My kids did that once. They said my daughter fell through it. Reality? They were throwing marbles and one hit and shattered the door.

Mine also shattered on its own. Came home one day and saw the exact same scene in my bathroom. It’s the tempered glass. Any slight flaw that you might not see could cause it to shatter spontaneously. I am so glad no one was IN my shower when it exploded like it did. Am also grateful that most of the glass ended up IN the shower stall and not on the bathroom floor. Believe it or not, the company sent me a free door to replace the one that broke. Call ’em up! May do the same for you.
