She said she needed it because her lips were dry…

One of my three year old twins decide to experiment on her own with Vaseline’s moisturizing properties for her chapped lips…and face. Of course, this was the ONE time that her sister didn’t tattle, however the non-moisturized twin did let me know afterwards that, “I told her, ‘That’s too much! You better stop!’, but she didn’t listen to me!”

I assume she's crying bc she's in trouble and not bc of the vaseline.

@Tania505 – Of course. And maybe that the feeling is just plan WEIRD.

Also, that is a DAMN good picture of a crying child! You got some quick hand–or a DSLR on hand at all times! GOOD EYE!

Ha ha! This is said crying child's mom here. She was having FUN with the Vaseline…until she got busted by Dad, then the tears and “I'm soooory! I'm soooory!” started up. Dad did a quick assessment that she wasn't in any danger (and wasn't going to touch anything – lol) and grabbed his DSLR to snap this pic. Her twin said she looked like “Santa Claus” when the lights came on. So much for naps that day!

Awww. My daughter once covered her head with a tub of vaseline. She looked like Jimmy Neutron. Even after Google told me to use cornstarch to get it out, (which I finally looked up after trying everything in my house and emptying the hot water tank trying to wash it out) it was still almost a week before her hair looked normal again.

Love it! Wish I could find the aftermath of my daughter after she “helped” daddy replace our toilet and found the wax ring!

As a twin myself I say….enjoy the fun ride coming to you! My sister and I were little terrors!

My daughter also had a field day with a jar of vaseline. She decided to give her new American Girl doll a bath with it, and cover one of her toy horses. As I learned the hard way, there is almost no way to clean up vaseline. American Girl doll is now permanently slippery and gross, and housed in the garage.

I love the instant crying when they get caught. Like it didn’t occur to them they shouldn’t be doing it until the moment they see you, then suddenly, “uh-oh, as much fun as this is, I’m probably about to get in trouble!”
