Overstuffed Chair Thesis

I realize that having white furniture while raising children is just asking for it. But I was thinking maybe a smear of jelly or a pen mark. I wasnt expecting my 4 year old to write an entire thesis in green ink on the back of the chair. At least he included the “(eye) (heart) U” bit.

At least it's a chair that can possibly be cleaned. My friend's daughter keyed her and her sister's name in his brand new paint job, right down the side of his car. Then said she didn't do it.

My four year old had to put a sign on her door (in permanent marker on the paint, of course) It was not a simple “Keep out!” It was a detailed description (paraphrased here) of exactly how scared one would be upon entering as well as the exception that certain members of her family would be allowed in. It took up half the door.

that was done by a four yr old? you should be very proud – much better than anything my 5.5yr old could manage 😀

    I heart this post.

If it's any consolation, he has excellent penmanship! I have to constantly remind my 4 yr old “PAPER ONLY!” too

At least with it being on the back of the chair you can put it against the wall and no one will be the wiser.

If you look close, you'll see that this is the LEFT side of the chair.

Wow! Amazing penmanship! Sorry about the chair, though. Still, it's clear that your boy is really very bright and has strong visual-spacial skills. Impressive!

This kid writes and draws beautifully for a 4 year old! I think you have a nascent talent here!

Baby wipes might take this out. Someone suggested that to me when my child did something nearly identical to our blond chair — and the wipes completely got rid of the marker!

  • elsicarson

really great penmanship! sux that it is on your chair.

  • TransVisionvamp

at least, it wasn't in Sharpie!

as has been said before, AMAZING for a four year old…. just too bad he had to show his brilliance on your chair!

  • artsynini

I wish I could tell you it get's better…but my almost 7 year old is still using the world (and her sister) as her canvas…sigh…

I was looking at this when my three year old came up and asked what the picture was. When I told him he said “my brother did it!”
