Handmade Ukrainian Easter Eggs

When my daughter was 4 she smashed open about a dozen of my Ukrainian Easter Eggs that I had spent several hours making.  When I asked her why, she said she was looking for the chocolate.  This is a photo of what they used to look like.  I have no after photos, but you all know what broken egg shells look like.

That is awful.  Those eggs are beautiful.  I know this must have hurt- I did those eggs as an art project in high school- so those are very well done and took a loooong time to make.  🙁

I make those. I made one for my 4 year old and for my 6 year old, my youngest’s egg is still intact and the oldest crushed her egg in minutes after I gave it to her. Go figure!
